Wang
Quan was born in 1929 at Wu Han of China. From early childhood on
he learned traditional Chinese painting of "shan shui" (which
means "mountains and water") from his father. Later, he
developed his painting techniques under his teachers Fu Wen Yan, Zhu
Zi He and Gao Xing Kui. He has been painting landscapes for 70 years.
Many of his works are now part of collections in the United States,
the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and Australia.
In 1998, he participated in the Europe-China Painting and Calligraphy
Exhibition and received an award of excellence.
In 1989, he was awarded second prize in the Shanghai Science and Technology
Exhibition.
In 1990, he participated in the Shanghai Old Age Painting and Calligraphy
Exhibition. |
